Nicholas (Nick) Henry Mettes 1 February 1853 - 28 January 1916 Nicholas (Nick) Henry Mettes Nick Mettes was born on 1st February 1853 as Nicholas Henry Mettes, oldest son of John Mettes and Gesina Holofskopl. Nick married Anna Stevens in 1875. Nick later married Emma Fulmer Wills (10 Mar 1857 - 1933) The small photos on this page are parts of a group photo at the Healy Settlement, taken 11 July 1921. Emma can also be found on that group photo. Nick, 11 July 1921   Nick and Anna had three children: 1. Edwin, died in 1897 2. Mabel, died in 1891 3. A third child died as an infant Nick and Emma had three children: 1. Anna 2. Mary Gurtrude 1881 or 1 March 1888 - 9 April 1981 or 1991 3.
