Franciscus (Frans II) Mettes was born on 9 November 1884 Westwoud and died on 16 May 1958 in Amsterdam. According to one (probably incorrect) source, Frans was born in 1881. Johanna Gesina Willemsen was born 19 February 1887 om 15.00 uur in Amsterdam and died 4 March 1927 in Amsterdam; she was burried on 9 March 1927 at the R.K. Cemetery St Barbara in Amsterdam. Frans later remarried to Johanna Anna Christina Stenders. Frans II was born as the first child in a family with eight children. Frans II was the son of Franciscus (Frans I) Mettes, who was born on 5 September 1854 in Westerblokker and died 2 February 1917, and of his wife, Gertrudis (Geertje) Oud, who was born 4 December 1853 at Westwoud N.H. and died 25 October 1938 in Bussum.
